IMG_3872Let’s face it. Music touches us.  It brings about all kinds of emotions.  People choose to play musical instruments because music has made some sort of impression on them.  They want to be a part of that feeling themselves and be the one to cause those emotions.  I know this is true for me.  I begged for “Guitar Hero” when I was little because I wanted to be like those famous rock bands.  I loved playing that toy guitar.  I even moved up from Guitar Hero to Rock Band, and my entire family joined in.  Me on the guitar, Mom on the drums, and my sister at the microphone.  It was awesome!!!  After I got older, I thought it would be cool to have a real electric guitar and learn to play.  At that time, I was going through a phase where I listened to bands such as Slipknot and Metallica. I thought I would learn to play and be as good as them.  I quickly found out that it took dedication.  Something I wasn’t ready to do yet.  Recently, I have picked up my mother’s guitar.  I am picking out a few notes here and there, but have decided that it might be best for me to just let the professionals entertain me.
